How we doing Hard-Chargers!!
Difference between Marines and SEALs…
Well first off before we go any further I want to say that each are high quality combat-ready forces. However, one is highly specialized in small maritime operations with intense precision (SEALs).
Whereas the other is specialized in power projection from the sea, with a larger force (USMC) and ability to maintain presence to assist with humanitarian missions.
However, long-term humanitarian missions are better handled by the Army.
Marines are an elite combat force and should always be training to remain that way.
The sea, part of the Marines is needed less-and-less in todays environment.
At the end of the day both are highly motivated, well trained, and makes no hesitation to capture or kill anyone who stands in the way of their mission.
It all comes down to the assigned combat mission.
In conclusion the SEALs are a part of the Navy’s special operations force.
(Yes that’s Tiger Woods chees’n w/ SEAL’s)
The Marines contain MSOR (Marine Special Operations Regiment, ‘Raiders’).
At the end of the day they’re both needed and we respect them for what they do.
I hope this answers your question.
